A Lovely Cushion.

Hello,
I would like to say happy holiday season to you, dear friends, scattered all around the world.
My son's school holidays start today and my daughter is back home from school so we are having some family time together. Thinking that from now on, we will be a family who would come together only on holidays makes me sad but proud all at the same time. ( My step-daughter went abroad to study medicine- I am a step-mom to two lovely children.)
I have little time for crochet but I have a lovely WIP which I cannot wait to show you.

The pattern can be found here.
Such a lovely pattern. It was so much fun to crochet this pillow.

I have finished the two circles now , I just need to sew a pillow to put inside and join the two circles.Nothing much left though it is a difficult job for me because I do not know how to sew...
I still have couple of projects on the go, mostly knitting projects. I am impatient to see them finished but I have no spare time or 'me' time nowadays as  I have started to renovate my shop.
I hope you have a happy holiday season. Gaia.

Circular lovelies...

Hello dear friends,
Last couple of days have been tough for me; I had to be at work all the time coming home exhausted with my Little Man only having time to prepare dinner, eat , play with the Little Man a bit before going to bed and sleep early.
The weather is VERY cold, we got cold and  stayed at home for the last four days.We missed a family wedding and my Little One wakes up every morning to go to the wedding we have already missed; this makes me really sad and I am determined to take him to any wedding happening just to see him happy.

As you can guess, I had no time to crochet but I have something to show you. This will be a new year present for my Little MAn's pediatrician.
This is the type of project that I love ; a throw made of squares! Such a colourful project...
The squares will look like this:
But right now I am engaged in making the lovely circles:

Although this will be a new year's gift, I will not be able to give it to the owner until after the new year so I am really relaxed while working on it. Hopefully it will turn out to be good because the original pattern is for a pillow. I will write about the pattern later.
I hope you all have a lovely week and hope to be back with my new wip soon! Gaia.

BLACKBERRY SALAD STRIPE BLANKET TA-DAH!

Hello my dear friends!
As you may have guessed from the title, today is a ta-dah day! Hurray!
I loved the colours of this blanket  and this is definitely the most textured work I have ever done!
And as I have mentioned earlier , I have started to teach myself knitting. I am not very good at it, and I do not enjoy it as much as crochet but moments like this makes the effort worthwhile.

This is my neighbour's baby boy Sweet K wearing the vest I have knitted a little bit earlier. The vest fitted him perfectly.

Well, that's all from me today. I hope you have a lovely day. Gaia.

WIP2

Hello!
I hope you are all having a lovely week-end.
Yesterday I photographed some of my WIPs.
This is a project I have just started yesterday. It will be a bolero. I am hoping to wear it for my cousin's wedding party on 10 December. I will post the details about this project later.

This is my bobble blanket; I am very close to finishing but I have decided it turned out to be a bit narrow compared to my ripple blanket so I am adding a bobble border.

Oh, how I love those lovely stripes of bobble!
Lastly,my couch throw ;
and I have forgotten one more thing;
Yes, I am knitting a toddler cardigan for my Little Man. I need to finish this very soon , otherwise he will be too big to wear it!
Have a lovely week-end!

I have knitted a baby vest!

Hello!
Yes! I did it! I have knitted a baby vest and here it is:
I feel I can make this better. I will try to knit another one  in my son's size; I hope I will succeed because he liked it so much. I was thinking to gift it but I know I will not be able to because my son carries it wherever he goes and tries to put it on!
I hope you have a lovely week!

Hello!

Hello!
I hope you are all having a lovely week.
I had a tough week because my Little Man was ill with fever and he had to stay at home.  I had to juggle a schedule to take care of him and go to work and deal with work problems ( and there are loads of them which need to be addressed still.)
When we were at home , we watched a lot of The Car toons and Mater's tall tales  and played with the cars.
And while he was busy playing with his cars ,I did a little knitting.I am not a fan of knitting,I only knit because it is something different to do when I get bored of my crochet projects. But this project turned out to be soooo nice , I really enjoyed knitting. The pattern can be found here.
Unfortunately, the size is too small for my 27 months old son, so if there is anybody who has this pattern adapted for a two-year-old, please, please , let me know.
I hope to be with you with a ta-dah! post soon. Until then, good-bye...

blackberry salad striped baby blanket progress

Hello Lovelies!
The progress on my latest blanket: VERY SLOW!
I enjoy crocheting this blanket very much but it is taking a lot of time...
You can find the pattern here.
Here is the progress I have made so far:
Hmmmm! I think I should use greens and reds more!

Luckily,in this corner of the world ,we had some rain last night, and the temperatures dropped to 20 something degrees C so I am very much in the mood of yarny business.
This is a corner of my small garden...
Thanks to the weather change, my climbers are blooming;

I hope you all have a lovely week!
P.S My two-year-old son loved this blanket already and said that the popcorns ' are the waves rushing to the beach and the blanket is the sea' . :)
