A New Baby Blanket

Hello Dear Friends!
My cousin's wife is expecting a baby girl, so I decided to crochet a blanket for her. The baby is due April which gives me time to crochet and ship it to Australia. This will be my first experience to ship anything abroad.

Today is a bright sunny day, my Little Man's horse riding lesson is cancelled so it will be a day to relax rather than run here and there.I will be enjoying home hopefully.
Have a beautiful Sunday!

We are freezing...

Hello Dear Friends!
It is freezing cold outside; rather uncommon for our sunny little island! It is just the perfect weather to cozy up in your living room and knit or crochet but as it happens, most of the homes- and ours- do not have central heating so the living room is nice and hot but the other places are not.Therefore, after we have dinner, I prefer to put my Little Man to bed early and I knit or crochet in bed.Much warmer this way! Yesterday it was so cold that I wished for a scarf, and as soon as I had free time, I cast on a garter stitch scarf for myself. Hopefully I will be wearing in on Saturday.
This weather is just perfect for baking too and nobody in our house would say no to a chocolate cake :) Unfortunately my pan was broken, and the cake didn't come out in one piece but rather crumbles... Despite all this bad luck; this cake tastes Divine! I have a plan for the crumbles ; I will give it a try tonight and if it works I will share it with you.
Other thing that this cold weather is good for is soup! I enjoy cooking soup a lot; such an easy and full of possibilities dish! And the remaining soup, I bring it to work and have soup for lunch.
I hope you all have a lovely week!

Last Project of 2014

Hello Dear Friends!
Thisis the last project of 2014.

No matter how hard I tried, These two photos were the best I could get. My Little Man was not helping last night; he himself wanted to take the photos...
There are some photos which I took earlier too but they are not good quality either;
I like this photo showing my neighbour examining the blanket in the backyard.

Have a lovely day!

FIRST FO OFTHE NEW YEAR; The Accidental Scarf...

Hello Dear Friends!
This year's first finished object is a scarf for my Little Man. I call it ' the accidental scarf ' because as I was sewing the squares for my solid granny square blanket , my Little Man came and asked me if he could have a scarf from the squares.I couldn't envision it although I saw couple of granny square scarfs on the internet, but I couldn't break my son's heart. So, here it is;

Have a lovely week!
