Blooming Flower Cushions Ta-da!

Hello Dear Friends,
Yes,you read it right! This time I have two blooming flower cushions, a pattern by attic24 .
The colourful one is a long time pending project, I crocheted the back and the front and tossed it away and forgot about it because I did not like the circle I crocheted for its back. Then yesterday I gave it a second thought and I gave it a try ; it is not perfect in shape but it turned out to be OK.

I have made the pink one to match my 'Beautiful Blanket' .

Have a lovely week-end!

hexagon tutorial

Hello Dear Friends,
After loosing my printed out pattern for my 'Beautiful Blanket', I decided to write down a tutorial so if I forget the pattern while working on other projects I have a reference to return  to.I am sure I have found this pattern on pinterest and it was from a blog in Russian but the pattern is originally Japanese because there was a graphic pattern and Japanese writings on the scanned pattern . I searched and searched the Internet to find the pattern again but in vain. So here it is :

chain 4 , join with a slip stitch.

Round 1: Chain 4 (counts as a dc and a chain) dc in the ring 11 times ,chain1 join to the 3rd chain of the beg. ch4. 12dcs.

Round 2: Change colour.Join with a slip stitch to any of the ch1 spaces. Ch3 ( counts as a dc) dc in the same space and ch2, make 2 dc in the next ch1 space, repeat 10 times , chain 2. Join with a slip stitch to the 3rd chain of the first ch3. fasten off.

Round 3: Change colour.Join with a slip stitch to any chain 2 space and chain3( counts as a dc) make 2 more dc in the same space , chain1.make 3dc in the next ch2 space ,ch1. repeat 10times, chain 1 and join with a slip stitch to the 3rd chain of the 1st chain3.

Round 4: Change colour. Join with sl st to any ch1 space and chain4. SC to the next chain1 space and chain4- repeat 10more times.Do not fasten off.

Rnd 5: Slip stitch to the ch4 space and ch3( this counts as a dc) 3 more dcs in the same ch4 space, ch3,4more dcs in the same ch4 space.

Ch1. In the next ch4 space make 4dcs.ch1.
make 4 DCs in the next ch4 space, ch1- this is where you are going to join your hexagon-join with a slip stitch to the next hexagon and ch1.
make 4dcs in the same ch4 space and ch1.

Join with a slip stitch to the ch1 space of the opposite hexagon
make 4 DCs in the next ch4 space and continue as before

I wish you good luck with your projects. I make the circles first and then I join picking the colours in an order. Here are my circles so far:
And next week I will be having my summer holidays so I will be missing from the blog land for a while.
Any questions you will have about the hexagons I will be able to answer them next week.
Have a lovely day. Gaia.
