Yesterday

Hello Dear Friends!
I love this summer working hours because now I am able to cook with pleasure. I like to cook daytime preferably in the morning but noon does just fine too. I hate cooking at night because mostly I go home exhausted and the only thing I want to do is rest!Cooking at night means I will finish the kitchen work no sooner than 10 pm  and I go to bed directly from the kitchen-it is not a desirable life-style. But now, I go home ,I cook and bake, tidy the house, take a shower and there is still time to crochet a little while enjoying my favourite shows like House and The Mentalist. So here is what I did yesterday; Nutella Baklava.Recipe here.
Have a lovely day! Gaia.

Yesterday

We started our summer working-hours which means I am free from 13,00 to 15,30. Yesterday was the first day, so I went home . As the weather is Not Yet Very Hot , I did some gardening in the back-yard watering the lawn and planting some petunias and Portulaca grandiflora's.

Our Crochet Club

Hello Dear Friends!
Yesterday, with my two neighbours, we went to visit a friend of one of my neighbours. While we sat and drank coffee and chatted, we realized that we are all crocheters. As a matter of fact, we all had a crochet w.i.p bag with us and that was when all the crochet work came into sunlight.
I have to apologize for the quality of the photo; but among all those beautiful, gorgeous crochet work, I could only remember to take photos at the last minute. Above photo shows not only the grown-ups but the toddlers can have a taste of crochet too! :)

This photo shows Miss E. and our hostess Mrs. M crocheting. Please note that the cover on the couch is a vintage crochet blanket too! The squares above are Mrs.M's original patterns. Unfortunately she does not have written pattern of any of them so we decided we will gather soon so she crochets her squares and we write the patterns down. And this concludes our crochet club.
This week was about work, little bit of crochet and little bit of gardening.
My gardenia is in bloom ;such a sweet scent!

Have a lovely day! Gaia.

Granny Ripple Blanket Ta-daaa!

Hello!
Here is my latest work:

May is the month of birthdays for my family. First we celebrated my sister's birthday ,then my mom's then mine.
I had three celebrations. Here is a photo we took at work:
Of course I did not spend all my time celebrating birthdays( although it feels like so.) We went strawberry picking in the fields to the west of the island.
Lunched in a restaurant by the sea where
my Little Man  threw stones in the sea; his favourite thing to do recently...
Not only did I finish my granny ripple blanket but I have started a new blanket project as well.

This is the first time I am working with 100% wool ; I am enjoying it so much ! But this is a subject for an individual post. Till next time , have a lovely time. Gaia.

I hope you are all well, all around the world. We are having a weird weather here in Cyprus; two days ago it was bright and hot with temperatures reaching 30 degrees C and only yesterday it was grey, rainy and cold.
I do not mind the grey, rainy and cold though; I love it! Such a weather inspires me to crochet more.....So yesterday, I sat down and made a wish list of crochet projects I would like to do in future time. I hope I stick to my list and so do  not get distracted by new projects while surfing the Internet.
