After loosing my printed out pattern for my 'Beautiful Blanket', I decided to write down a tutorial so if I forget the pattern while working on other projects I have a reference to return to.I am sure I have found this pattern on pinterest and it was from a blog in Russian but the pattern is originally Japanese because there was a graphic pattern and Japanese writings on the scanned pattern . I searched and searched the Internet to find the pattern again but in vain. So here it is :
HEXAGON TUTORIAL
chain 4 , join with a slip stitch.
Round 1: Chain 4 (counts as a dc and a chain) dc in the ring 11 times ,chain1 join to the 3rd chain of the beg. ch4. 12dcs.
Round 2: Change colour.Join with a slip stitch to any of the ch1 spaces. Ch3 ( counts as a dc) dc in the same space and ch2, make 2 dc in the next ch1 space,repeat 10 times , chain 2. Join with a slip stitch to the 3rd chain of the first ch3. fasten off.
Round 3: Change colour.Join with a slip stitch to any chain 2 space and chain3( counts as a dc) make 2 more dc in the same space , chain1.make 3dc in the next ch2 space ,ch1. repeat 10times, chain 1 and join with a slip stitch to the 3rd chain of the 1st chain3.
Round 4: Change colour. Join with sl st to any ch1 space and chain4. SC to the next chain1 space and chain4- repeat 10more times.Do not fasten off.
Rnd 5: Slip stitch to the ch4 space and ch3( this counts as a dc) 3 more dcs in the same ch4 space, ch3,4more dcs in the same ch4 space.
Ch1. In the next ch4 space make 4dcs.ch1.
make 4 DCs in the next ch4 space, ch1- this is where you are going to join your hexagon-join with a slip stitch to the next hexagon and ch1.
make 4dcs in the same ch4 space and ch1.
Join with a slip stitch to the ch1 space of the opposite hexagon
make 4 DCs in the next ch4 space and continue as before
