CROCHET IN 2020

Hello Dear Friends,                                                                                                  

When I first saw this cushion; I got so smitten with it.I made 2 with merserized cotton but though they are mostly finished they are not totally finished hence no photos. But this beauty in the photo was the one finished even  though I started the last. It was gifted to my friend's daughter (7) as a new year's gift.
As you might guess, I am very fond of crocheting pop-corns. When I run into this pattern on pinterest; I couldn't resist trying.

Pattern here. I started trying out the square and ended up with a plan of king-sized bed-spread .
There is very little time for crochet in 2020 as My Little Man is preparing for secondary school entrance exam; the competition is very fierce and I am not sure he will pass as he doesn't want to go to school but he wants to be a football player.( Life is very tough for me at the moment (sigh!)).

New Year's Eve we celebrated my dad's birthday. Above photo shows my dad and us; his daughters.

FO'S AND WIP'S...

Hello Dear Friends!

Firstly, the finished objects. Those two big pillows were finished long ago but since I cannot sew, they were lying around. Last week-end I decided enough of that and here is the result;

I had them sewn at our local yarn shop.Here is some eye candy;

This summer...

Hello Dear Friends!,
Where did the summer go?! Yes, it is still very hot in Cyprus, but the temperatures  are below 38 degrees C and two days ago we even had a rain...
This is the summer totally unproductive on the crochet front... I guess I had crocheter's block; ı just simply couldn't crochet.

Despite lack of crochet; this summer was a good one. We went to Lithuania and the Little Man bonded with his cousin....

He enjoyed the nature....

He enjoyed the cofee shops...

We visited the neighbour a lot and the children played...

We went to the beach....

We went bowling...

Little MAn enjoyed lots of jumps into the pool with his brother...

 After all the jumping, a little nap....

We had  Little MAn's birthday in July...He is now 5 years old... He had a birthday party at home...

 and at school....This year's theme was pirate...

With all those pirates around; the Little One (my nephew) had to be one too!

The school started today and we are back to school.It will take a while till we adapt to the new routine but maybe fall turns out to be more productive than summer...

Lastly, I couldn't say good-bye without a little bit of crochet. These two cushions I finished this week-end .I just managed to photograph them then the Little MAn claimed them his....

LACE AND SUMMER

Hello Dear Friends!

The original post I had written has been just deleted ; I am at work and I do not have the time to re-write it as it was before so I will write a summary; Summers are so hot so I work with mercerized cotton. Lacey projects are the favourite ones....

I am hoping this to be a round cushion....

The motif above is lovely, isn't it? Currently I am working on a crochet dress and if I could find a way I will use this motif in this dress...
