I have been knitting...

Hello Dear Friends!
Yes, I have been knitting. Winter finally arrived and after drooling over so many lovely projects especially on pinterest and lovely blogs like Dear Meredith's , I have decided to give it a go.
I chose an easy pattern for a co-worker from Garnstudio . So, here it is ;

The photo is shot with an iPhone in my pharmacy and this explains the shelves with medications.
I hope you have a lovely day! Gaia.

My Latest Passion Is Knitting

Hello Dear Friends,

It is a fact that I cannot be blogging frequently these days due to work, but I am reading all the lovely blogs on my reader and sometimes I can even write a comment or two , too!
Long working hours are preventing me from crocheting and I am still working on my 'beautiful blanket' . I am working on the border now so it is almost finished but we have already started using it and it is such a luxury enjoying such a blanket.
The above photo shows my Little Man playing with his dinosaurs on my 'beautiful blanket'.

This blanket or the hexagons did not need any blocking; it is already like blocked.
Another thing keeping me away from crocheting , as you might have guessed from the title of this post ,
is  knitting.
I have actually knitted a couple of wearable baby cardigans, which I couldn't photograph yet, but here is a vest I recently finished ...

This is what I have tried to knit; I have made several mistakes especially with the yoke but it worked out and fits my Little Man. Later I  knitted one for my nephew too.
I hope you all have a lovely week! Gaia...

I am knitting!

Hello Dear Friends,
I am just popping in to say that I am knitting....

When I  was browsing the  net ,I saw those lovely top-down cardigans and immediately fell in love with the design. That was three years ago when my son was born. Since then, I have tried and tried knitting one, and accomplished one that you can view it here. But it was nothing wearable. This time, I worked hard, I did rows and undid rows, I measured and calculated, most of the time I was near tearing but  hopefully I will end up with a top-down cardigan that will actually fit my son.Until then , I wish you all the best and hope to be back with a ta-daa post soon....Gaia.

BLACKBERRY SALAD STRIPE BLANKET TA-DAH!

Hello my dear friends!
As you may have guessed from the title, today is a ta-dah day! Hurray!
I loved the colours of this blanket  and this is definitely the most textured work I have ever done!
And as I have mentioned earlier , I have started to teach myself knitting. I am not very good at it, and I do not enjoy it as much as crochet but moments like this makes the effort worthwhile.

This is my neighbour's baby boy Sweet K wearing the vest I have knitted a little bit earlier. The vest fitted him perfectly.

Well, that's all from me today. I hope you have a lovely day. Gaia.

WIP2

Hello!
I hope you are all having a lovely week-end.
Yesterday I photographed some of my WIPs.
This is a project I have just started yesterday.It will be a bolero. I am hoping to wear it for my cousin's wedding party on 10 December. I will post the details about this project later.

This is my bobble blanket; I am very close to finishing but I have decided it turned out to be a bit narrow compared to my ripple blanket so I am adding a bobble border.

Oh, how I love those lovely stripes of bobble!
Lastly,my couch throw ;
and I have forgotten one more thing;
Yes, I am knitting a toddler cardigan for my Little Man. I need to finish this very soon , otherwise he will be too big to wear it!
Have a lovely week-end!

I have knitted a baby vest!

Hello!
Yes! I did it! I have knitted a baby vest and here it is:
I feel I can make this better. I will try to knit another one  in my son's size; I hope I will succeed because he liked it so much. I was thinking to gift it but I know I will not be able to because my son carries it wherever he goes and tries to put it on!
 I hope you have a lovely week!

Hello!

Hello!
I hope you are all having a lovely week.
I had a tough week because my Little Man was ill with fever and he had to stay at home.  I had to juggle a schedule to take care of him and go to work and deal with work problems ( and there are loads of them which need to be addressed still.)
When we were at home , we watched a lot of The Car toons and Mater's tall tales  and played with the cars.
And while he was busy playing with his cars ,I did a little knitting.I am not a fan of knitting,I only knit because it is something different to do when I get bored of my crochet projects.But this project turned out to be soooo nice , I really enjoyed knitting. The pattern can be found here.
Unfortunately,the size is too small for my 27 months old son, so if there is anybody who has this pattern adapted for a two-year-old, please,please , let me know.
I hope to be with you with a ta-dah! post soon. Until then, good-bye...

Knitting

Hello!
Today, I am knitting a baby blanket. Actually, I am hoping it to be a baby blanket because I haven't figured out how I will do the edges yet.
The pattern is called 'The Old Shale' ; after I figured out the pattern ,it is such a pleasure to knit that I do not want to leave my knitting at all!
And I decided that I like ripples A LOT!
I cannot wait to see how this blanket will turn out to be ( hopefully a very nice one ) because I LOVE the colour choice which happened accidentally. ( I am even considering turning it into a  blankie for my bed  ; would it be too much work?!)
I am off to buy more yarn for it now. Hope to be able to show you more of my new favourite soon ....
