CROCHET FINISH OF THE YEAR 2021

 Hello Dear Friends,

It has been such a long time since I last posted. I am going through a rough patch in my life these days , I am healthy but very stressed hence I have no appetite for blogging. My crochet time is diminished remarkably due to daily chores but I managed  to finish a baby blanket last month. The blanket is gifted immediately and I could only manage three photos at my work while I was handing it to the baby's father.

crochet

 Hello Dear Friends,

I have only finished  a baby blanket in 2020.
I have many WIPs, one of which you can see in the photo below, inspired by traditional curtain in a village home, shown in the photo above.

Following photos show my old crochet projects put in use;

2020 was a very weird year with the coronavirus pandemic so we spent a lot of time outdoors.

I did lots of baking this year;

and this is my latest project;

Have a lovely week,
Gaia.

Beautiful squares and hexagons as works in progress...

Dear Friends,
Look at those beauties! Aren't they lovely?
And let me tell you; they are quite addictive! The pattern ;
I do not have the source of this image so if anyone knows please let me know.

And beautiful squares....For those beautiful squares ; the pattern is here .
And last but not least,
I know I am repeating myself but aren't those lovely?
Those beautiful squares are hard to crochet; all those popcorns take time. I can only manage a square a night but it is totally worth the effort.I am working with mercerized cotton and 3mm hook to crochet all of these lovelies. The yarn brand is Alize Bahar.For the pattern please click here .
Happy crocheting !
Gaia.

joining squares

Hello Dear Friends!
I hope you are all well.I had a total thyroidectomy last week-end and I am now enjoying some house rest.I have watched so many French movies and did nothing. Absolutely nothing. When I started to feel better, I started to feel bored and I joined some squares that I had crocheted earlier.
So far, so good...
Have a lovely week-end!

FIRST FO OFTHE NEW YEAR; The Accidental Scarf...

Hello Dear Friends!
This year's first finished object is a scarf for my Little Man. I call it ' the accidental scarf ' because as I was sewing the squares for my solid granny square blanket , my Little Man came and asked me if he could have a scarf from the squares.I couldn't envision it although I saw couple of granny square scarfs on the internet, but I couldn't break my son's heart. So, here it is;

Have a lovely week!

WIP progress -'babette-ish blanket'

Hello Dear Friends!
I hope you are all well. Last couple of my days have been so hectic I have been always stressful and tired. Yet, I have managed to squeeze in a little bit of beauty;

I have collected all the fruits of my tangerine tree, squeezed the juice and made lemonade.

I almost finished my wip, then changed my mind . I have decided to make it bigger to fit a double bed. So this project is still a wip and will be a wip for a long time...

Have a lovely day! Gaia.

Experimenting

Hello Dear Friends!
My WIPs are close to finishing so I have started thinking about my next project. What should it be?

I am working with blue, white and grey; boy colours. The yarn is 100% wool; such a pleasure to work with!

I will be trying a number of patterns this week and try to decide on one pattern. I will be back with more squares soon! Gaia.
