Egypt, pyramids, life,crochet...

Hello Dear Friends!
It has been such a long time since I was here; I couldn't blog because there was no time for crochet and I had nothing to show you. I was exhausted because I had to fire my assistant at work and took me a while to find somebody else.I was working eleven hours a day (official working hours) plus the accounting time which added to be twelve hours a day. Luckily my husband is travelling to China for work and I could manage somehow ....
I did finish a curtain for my kitchen door , though....
I am very close to finishing my Klimt blanket but I added a twist around the border so I am not sure to call it a 'Klimt Blanket'.

After being married to an Egyptian for almost ten years, finally I went to Egypt, Cairo to be precise. A four day trip was such a short one but I managed to visit Cairo Museum and the pyramids :)
My Little Man was so excited to see the pyramids and he was so eager to explore...

And the beautiful Nile... This photo was taken from a restaurant I so much liked and would have liked to dine at ; unfortunately we did not have time so hopefully next time.

Cairo Museum...

That's all for now. Have a lovely day! Gaia.

Well spent sunday and lacy crochet update

Hello Dear Friends!
Today, we woke up to a windy day. Such strong winds blowing made us stay at home...
I have decided that my lacy crochet should become a curtain for our room  at my parents' summer home.
I am loving this pattern so much as to start another curtain project for my kitchen...
My garden was in full bloom before today...
I will need to do a damage control tomorrow morning after today's strong winds...
Blogger is not letting me upload rest of my Sunday photos so I will have to say goodnight to you now. I hope you have a lovely week! Gaia.

Sunday and lacy crochet

T
Today has been about crochet....
I needed to try something different...
This pattern reminded me of my grand-mother...
Lovely hexagon, don't you think? A bit tricky though...
Have a lovely day! Gaia.

 Hello Dear Friends!
Wow! I have been absent from blogging for such a long time, partly because I was working most of the time and partly because my babettish blanket has turned into  a tedious task.

However,  I am happy to announce that finally I have completed all the squares. Above photo shows some of them as well as beautiful work of art drawn by my Little Man on his table and chairs :)
While the babette-ish blanket squares were crocheted slowly we celebrated neighbour's daughter's birthday.
 New year....
We went sight-seeing to the beautiful town of Famagusta.Above photo shows Saint Nicholas Cathedral.

Palazzo Del Provveditore (the Royal Palace) entrance,Famagusta.
We spent some time with my nephew...(please note that he is wearing a cardigan knit by his aunt)
 We celebrated grand-father's birthday...
Attended 'local products day' activities at my Little Man's kindergarten. Above picture shows 4 year olds in traditional costumes staging a wedding ceremony.

There was an exhibition too and my hexagons blanket was on display.
This sums up what I have been doing ; last couple of months were far from being productive but hopefully I will be back with a ta-daa post soon!
Have a lovely day! Gaia.

I have been knitting...

Hello Dear Friends!
Yes, I have been knitting. Winter finally arrived and after drooling over so many lovely projects especially on pinterest and lovely blogs like Dear Meredith's , I have decided to give it a go.
I chose an easy pattern for a co-worker from Garnstudio . So, here it is ;

The photo is shot with an iPhone in my pharmacy and this explains the shelves with medications.
I hope you have a lovely day! Gaia.

WIP progress -'babette-ish blanket'

Hello Dear Friends!
I hope you are all well. Last couple of my days have been so hectic I have been always stressful and tired. Yet, I have managed to squeeze in a little bit of beauty;

I have collected all the fruits of my tangerine tree, squeezed the juice and made lemonade.

I almost finished my wip, then changed my mind . I have decided to make it bigger to fit a double bed. So this project is still a wip and will be a wip for a long time...

Have a lovely day! Gaia.
