sleepless

I cannot sleep!It is almost 1 am, and I cannot sleep!  It is so hot and we are under midge and mosquito attack.( Besides I had a cup of  Turkish coffee in the afternoon.)

It is the end of school year; summer holiday officially started. My Little One got his report last Friday. Unfortunately , there is no holiday for us. His summer school starts tomorrow...

I am more relaxed at work mostly because summer season is the slow season for pharmacies in Cyprus due to the fact that the state supplies all the medication for free and there is no colds and flu's in summer...

We are having a very weird summer this year ; it is hot but not  40 degrees C yet. So we are spending lots of time in the pool on the week-ends. When it is pool time, hubby takes charge of the Little One and I have maximum two hours to crochet... Heaven!

I have one problem,though... I cannot concentrate on one project! I start one project then I get bored and start another-almost every week- then, I buy some new skeins and can't wait to try the new yarn , so here comes another wip...

Here is my latest wip: ( I shot the photos with iPhone by the pool in the afternoon so please don't expect much from the photos; this is just to give an idea)

The insect repellents and the incense started working better now so I am off to bed to get some sleep. I hope you have a great day ! Gaia....

My First Award

I was awarded 'Very Inspiring Blogger Award' by lovely Lisa from  My World of Crochet .Thank you Lisa.

7 things about me:
1- I love books.
2-I work minimum 11 hours a day. As a result I have almost no 'me' time. When I get lucky , I love to crochet. I think it is such a soothing act and it is the only way I forget about my work stress.
3-I love the blogging community. I improved my crochet techniques thanks to some lovely blogger ladies and I get a dose of inspiration from them almost every day.
4-I am taking a course of phytotherapy at a local university at the moment ; will be having a test at the end so
my blogging time is reduced remarkably.
5-Lately, I have realized that the people of my country are so unkind and rude : I wonder where all those good people of my childhood are gone?!
6-This year ,I am planning to take a holiday abroad.
7-I love gardening. Despite severe water shortages in my country, I have managed to grow  8 trees in my tiny garden and I am so proud of that :)

More Waterlilies...

Hello Lovely People!

We are having gorgeous weather in Cyprus with sunny mornings and rainy afternoons . It is so cool ; I wish this weather continues forever....As a result my small garden is so fresh and alive ; I'd like to share some photos with you.

And as for crochet; soon I will be having waterlilies cushions in my garden :)

Hello Dear Friends!
 The weather is so hot  that I am unable to crochet. Here is what I was able to do last week;  waterlilies and japanese flowers.
 Note: Because of the hot weather I want to crochet in neutral colours as it is the case with the japanese flowers.

APRIL

Hello Dear Friends!
Wow! Time flies,really! I have been working like crazy trying to renovate my shop.It has been a tough job but everything worked out fine, there are some places which need some finishing touches but most of it is done. This is why there was no crochet, not even a little!
Here is a short summary of what I did in April:

We celebrated my mother-in-law's birthday. It was the Little Man who really enjoyed the cake.

Another celebration: 23 April National Sovereignty and Children's day. Little Man dancing in his ladybird costume.

Renovation...

An outing to the beach. Little Man throwing pebbles in the sea...

It was one of the few cloudy days we have....

The weather got suddenly so hot that I had to  hide my acrylic solid granny square blanket in the closet and start projects with mercerized cotton.
